Plan for Wind energy

What I want the children to know about Wind energy (year 4-6) :

• Explain (using power point) about what it is (wind energy)
• Tell them a story about (a made up story) how it was made - the 'reason' why it was made in the first place.
• Ask them whether they want to make a windmill onigiri
• If they don't want then : - I would ask them what they understand so far, then I would explain more to it, I would ask them to draw it (windmill), I would have a little quiz then I would end it with a little presentation thanking them for listening.
• If they want to then : - I would ask them to collect their materials, then show how to do it, and I would ask them to make it (with the help of their teachers and other members of my group, I would like my group to learn it first, in case), after finishing it I would have a little talk to them asking them if they like what they did or not then I would give them a little quiz then I end it with presenting the little thank you video.

This is all I could think of since I have never actually spend any of my time with any year 4-6 kids before. I'm not sure if they would like it or not but I would like to try this plan out.

Group project reflection.

For our group project, we are discussing about our own reflection on the group project. We talk about it for about 5-10 minutes. W also discuss about our personalities depending on the belbin test but the fact that Danial and Ezwan haven’t taken the test, we have to wait for it until they did. 

We separated the job in specific part. We also talk about our success criteria. We spend fro about 15-20 minutes on it on our own and we all give it to Kai Song so that she could edit it and put it in the google.doc so that we all could read and learn about each other.

After that, we discuss about how to make this school more ‘green’. We made a spider diagram about what we discuss :

  Because of the lack of internet, we couldn't finish everything we planed from the start.

Reflection on the Group Project (Both 2 weeks)

In our group project, we have discuss about the peak oil issue and something that is somehow relative to it. Some of the things we discuss about are different view of perspective like personal, national, global and future. We watch the videos provided by the teacher in knowledge Net together and share our different perspective about the videos.

We split our jobs as individual equally for example, some of use are in charge of finding the information (reading from the article provided) to find the main issues about the topic while some of us are in charge of listing everything down and the reason for this is that so it will be much simpler and faster fro us to finish the job and move on to the next topic.

Everyone did a good job on finding the main idea about understanding the topic we had in hand. We help each other so that all of us could understand the topic perfectly.

Working as a team is the hardest thing to do for me since I am not yet use to it. I try to work as a team with the others, but as people say it, sometimes the thing we wanted to do most is the hardest thing out of all and that we have to take time and learn how to make it perfect. I will try my best to be more open to the others and to learn more about the meaning of having a team to work together with.

In the past two weeks, we also manage to make a fishbone diagram. We started it quite early than planned because we wanted to have the opportunity of doing many other different things instead of keep doing the same thing for about a month or so.

Our teamwork might have improve if we learn more about each others weakness and try to help to improve it little by little, for example, I have problems with updating my blog. I am not the type of person who like to update or even open my my blog that much and I know that I have to work more on that. Being pushing on each other might not be the biggest problems we have in the out team, but if too much of it, the team members might have feel the burden and they might change their mind about doing the work perfectly. Being a little "pushy" is good for the team because that will help a person like me to finish the work faster or submitting it on time.

I learned that there is much more things about the world around us that we barely know of. It thought me how close minded I was about the things that happened around me. 

The learning that I achieve will help me further with my learning and also will help my knowledge to be more spread out instead just knowing something so small and so unimportant.

I could have ask my teammate to teach me how to do stuff like how to search for specific things that we need for the project instead of just doing the thing that I barely know the quality of perfection is. I also could ask them about their opinion on my work that I've done to make sure wether it was helpful or not and if it is not helpful than I can improve it by doing what they told me to do or by considering their point of views and mix it with mine to make the work much easier for me to do.

 

Belbin Roles in group

My belbin roles in group according to the questionnaire - I am a Coordinator, Plant and Team worker .

My surprise because of this result is me being a Coordinator and being good at team work. Being part of the team is not my strongest point but it is also not part of my weakest . i never thought that being a coordinator is part of my strongest point.
I always thought I would be a Plant because i am quite imaginative and like i said i really like to work in my personal space.

- Plant -  i tend to prefer to be alone and do my job alone by my self with the help from my team mate. i do not like to be under pressure and i tend to work better if i have a choice to make rather then having to do works because i have to (no other choice). i need to be told to finish my works if not i may end up not finishing it.

The stars of the film :

The introduction of the film
The film tells the story of a jury made up of 12 men as they deliberate the guilt or innocence of a defendant on the basis of reasonable doubt.
12 Angry Men explores many techniques of consensus-building, and the difficulties encountered in the process, among a group of men whose range of personalities adds intensity and conflict. Apart from two of the jurors swapping names while leaving the courthouse, no names are used in the film: the defendant is referred to as "the boy" and the witnesses as the "old man" and "the lady across the street".

Best bits :
The point where the eighth Jury raises his hand to say that 'the boy' is not guilty, the bit where he explains that he does not know whether his decision is right or wrong, he just keep saying 'what if' and also the bit where he is trying to explain why he said that 'the boy' is not guilty.

My Favourite Part :
It when the eighth Jury when into a deeper detail about how the possibility f each things that happen on the day 'the father' died, being stab right on the chest and being sawn to be falling from the upper level of the apartment.

The weak bits :
All the argument shows every important things about being a fair jury but even if it shows all of it, in the end they do not come up with any possibility of who could be the criminal in this crime of killing. Some people might be happy as the way it is, but most prefer to at least know who might do the crime and also the reason behind it since, they ca actually come up with all of the prove that has being said. 

My rating for this movie
Out of 5 is 4, since I'm a bit confuse at some point of the story, but the rest has been really impressing and interesting to watch.

Comparement between the two characters chosen ( Third Jury and the Seventh Jury )
Event if the two juries changes their mind about the case, each have their own reason to chose doing so. The reason why jury seventh changes his mind is because he just wanted to get out of the room and also  because there's many other jury who chose 'not guilty' after 'layers' of arguments. the reason why the third jury so against on putting 'the boy' 'not guilty is because of his own personal reason: his problems with the relationship between him and his son, but with all the prove and all the fact that has been given to him, he constantly came out of the decision.

Issues, concepts or other things I could reflect on :
There are many proof that drive the jyries aroung the corner, with the strengh of it, it slowly move the juries point of view about the crime and force them all (except the eight jury) to accept the fact that the so called criminal is not guilty in the killing case. each one of the juries has their own knowledge of believe towards diffrent stuff, some uses their knwledge, some uses common sense and some uses their own believe on what actually a crime really is but most just uses the plain fact that 'the eye witness saw everything and said what they think happen on that day' without considering something else might happen. The film dig out the truth about the stuff that were suppost to happen in a room full of juries that have their own point of views and it also help the viewers understand more about what justice really is and also help the viewers to chose or decide justice with proof or reason why such thing has been said outloud and why people should believe it.

Amnesty

Amnesty is a legislative or executive act by which a state restores those who may have been guilty of an offense against it to the positions of innocent people. It includes more than pardon, in as much as it obliterates all legal remembrance of the offense. The word has the same root as amnesia. Amnesty is more and more used to express 'freedom' and the time when prisoners can go free.

- It has 2.8 million members in 150 countries.

- UN Universal Declaration of Human rights.
- The main goal right now is to fight against death penalty
